Agent One in ChatGPT
The Agent One plugin publishes a live AI agent to the open web straight from a ChatGPT conversation. Tell ChatGPT what the agent should know and Agent One creates a hosted page with its own link, plus a chat widget you can embed on any website. The agent answers the public's questions and can collect leads. You can then see what visitors ask, improve the agent's answers, and follow up on leads from the same chat.
The plugin also works in Codex.
Publish an agent from ChatGPT
Paste or describe the information, then ask ChatGPT to publish it. For example:
- "Turn this menu and our opening hours into an assistant customers can ask questions on our website."
- "Make a public page where people can ask about our spring pottery workshop. Collect a name and email from anyone who wants a spot."
- "Publish an AI agent that answers questions about this rental listing." (then paste the listing)
- "Create a chatbot from our return policy and FAQ, and give me the code to add it to our site."
ChatGPT drafts the agent's name, greeting, instructions, knowledge, and suggested starter questions from what you provide, and Agent One publishes it.
What gets created
- A public agent page. The agent gets its own page at a link like
https://sunrise-bakery.agnt.one/assistant. Anyone with the link can ask it questions. - An embed snippet. A short piece of HTML you can paste into an existing website to add the agent as a chat widget.
- Optional lead capture. Ask for it and the agent shows a short name and email form, so you can follow up with interested visitors.
- A dashboard link. Open the agent in the Agent One dashboard for more settings, such as a custom domain.
ChatGPT replies with the page link, the embed snippet, and the knowledge the agent uses. If the agent can't go live yet, it's saved as a draft and ChatGPT tells you why.
Publishing creates public content. Only include information you're happy for anyone to read and ask about.
New Agent One accounts can publish one agent, and it stays live for 7 days. To keep it online after that, choose a plan. See pricing.
Manage and improve your agents
- See what visitors ask. "Which questions are visitors asking my support agent most this month?" ChatGPT reviews recent conversations and groups the questions into themes.
- Find and fix weak answers. ChatGPT looks at answers visitors disliked and conversations handed off to a person, then drafts new knowledge or instruction changes. Nothing changes until you confirm the exact text.
- Follow up on leads. "Draft follow-up emails for this week's leads." ChatGPT reads each lead's form answers and conversation and drafts a personal follow-up for you to send.
- Check who's waiting. "Who is waiting for a person?" ChatGPT summarizes conversations that asked for a human and drafts replies you can send from the Agent One inbox.
- Browse in the Agent One app. Open Agent One from the ChatGPT sidebar, or open Agent Inbox beside a chat, to browse agents, conversations, and leads. On ChatGPT desktop you can also @-mention an agent in the composer.
Some features, such as conversation insights, depend on your Agent One plan, the same as in the dashboard.
Connect your account
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins and search for Agent One, then select Connect.
- Sign in to Agent One, or create an account, and review the access request.
- Select Allow access. You'll return to ChatGPT.
The plugin works with the agents and sites owned by the Agent One account you connect.
For developers: the plugin is a remote MCP server at https://app.agnt.one/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth 2.1 sign-in.
What the plugin can access
- Publish agents. Create a site and a public agent with the knowledge you provide, and return its page link and embed snippet.
- Read your agents. Agent names, descriptions, instructions, greetings, knowledge source names, and public page links.
- Read conversations. Visitor conversation transcripts, conversation status, and like/dislike feedback.
- Read leads. Lead form answers (such as a visitor's name, email, or phone number), the page where the form was submitted, and the related conversation.
- Update your agents. Replace an agent's instructions and add new text knowledge sources.
The plugin can't delete agents or sites, remove knowledge, change billing, send messages to visitors, or email leads. Changes to instructions or knowledge apply to your live agent as soon as you confirm them. When ChatGPT updates instructions it receives the previous version, so you can ask it to restore them.
Visitor messages and lead answers are written by members of the public. ChatGPT treats them as information to analyze, not as instructions.
Privacy
When you publish an agent, Agent One stores the name, instructions, greeting, and knowledge ChatGPT sends, and shows the agent publicly at its page link and anywhere you embed it. When you ask about your agents, Agent One sends the requested agent, conversation, and lead information to ChatGPT so it can answer you. OpenAI handles that information under your ChatGPT settings and OpenAI's policies. Agent One doesn't receive or store your ChatGPT conversations. See the Agent One Privacy Policy for details.
Disconnect
Disconnect Agent One from the plugin's settings in ChatGPT at any time. You can also disconnect every connected AI app from Agent One: open Settings, find Connected AI apps, and select Disconnect all. Disconnecting stops ChatGPT from accessing your account. It doesn't take down agents you've already published; manage those in the Agent One dashboard. Access tokens also expire on their own, and an unused connection stops working after 30 days.
